Two travel grants from US are avaible!

Two travel grants, one from the NSF and one from the USDA, to help support travel of young, US-based investigators to attend Ethylene 2023 are available. The NSF-funded award will provide $1250 USD and the USDA-funded award $1625 USD to cover the registration fee and partial lodging and travel expenses including 5 nights of housing and airfare.

 

Eligibility

The NSF-funded award is open to students and postdocs and the USDA-funded award to students, postdocs, and assistant professors. For both awards, awardees are not required to be U.S. citizens, but must be studying or employed in the USA. Applications from women and other under-represented groups are encouraged. Students and postdocs will be considered for either award.

To Apply

Applicants should submit the following:

1.    a scientific Abstract for the research they will present at the symposium

2.    a CV

3.    a brief personal statement (limited to 350 words) of research goals, the reasons for attending the symposium, an explanation of how the meeting will benefit professional growth, and a description of financial need

4.    Students and Postdocs- a letter of support from the research mentor that indicates support for the applicant’s participation and describes financial need
